Adele - Daydreamer Lyrics Meaning

I know that this probably isn't how the song was supposed to be interpreted, but this is what it means to me...
Imagine a perfect guy. You know who he is but you can never reach him, hence the line 'he would be hard to chase, but good to catch' He might be some sort of celebrity, that's why he's 'the subject of their talk' His eyes 'make you melt' and you watch him hopelessly, knowing that he is with someone else. You can't describe him, all you know is what you've seen, because you might not have met him. All you can say about him is what you want him to be like. Your dream is that you will 'find him sitting on your doorstep' because that is your only hope of being with him for real. No matter what happens, 'You can tell that he'll be there [in your heart] for life.'
