I have listened to this song a lot, and it is kinda self-explanatory. "I caught the moon today

he got a wedding ring as "bright as the moon" "threw it all away" - speaking about marriage. "I got the prefect steal" he got the perfect woman for him.

And kiss the snake goodnight...this is what is ironic about the song.."fallout and take the bait, eat the fruit and kiss the snake goodnight" adam and eve were he gave into temptation and ate the forbidden fruit. This part is saying how he gave into her and she is the snake that seduced eve into eating the fruit, and she is the "snake" that seduced him into marriage.

You got me hanging from"....he is saying he doesn't care what you can offer him because he is sick and tired of being "caught in a noose" in this marriage. He is basically saying through the whole song, he found what he thought was the perfect girl for him and he jumped into the relationship so quick and only to later find out that he can't stand being tied down and being told what to do and when to do it..."marriage" lol..its a GREAT song! I love it how he's just pretty much says...marriage sucks..lol..make sure you find the right girl and make sure you can LIVE with her...lol...great song
