I think it's about a guy talking to a girl saying they'd watch the sunrise together but he has flaws he's " a shade too pale for handsome," "and has habits he can't shake" but if he didn't have them he wouldn't be the same. So he's pretty much saying he likes her a lot he'd rather stay with her but if she can't accept his flaws, too bad for her. =)
