The song is about a girl (rihanna)who has made mistakes in the past but the boy (drake) is willing to look past that and still go for her, as it says hes asked about her and they've told him things but his mind didnt change.

Drake has also made mistakes in the past and hes also has had his heart broken, so rihanna says in the chorus "Heres what i'll do i'll take care of you" only if he trusts her.

He can't deny that he wants her but he'll lie if he has to because she doesnt say she loves him to her friends when they ask her.
