The song really shouldnt be heard to interpret by yourself. It's about him being in love for the frist time and throughout the whole song he's trying to deny that she doesnt feel the same way. Bare with me as I go line by line.

-He's saying the he knows (or rather he would like to think) that the girl feels the same way he does about her and he's going to be there for her no matter what.

-The girl is denying their relationship. She isnt being as serious as he is about this whole thing and he's hurt by it.

"Say there's another and look right in my eyes"
-She said there's another guy. He Doesn't want to believe it so he wants her to look him in the eyes and say it.

-Right here I would say that he THINKS he would marry her because he's never felt this way about a girl before, so he's saying if she needed to hear that promise, then he would make it.

-He still doesn't want to believe it so he's hoping that it's all a dream os he can wake up and go back to how things were.
