"I'm gonna make it bend and break,
say a prayer, but let the good times roll,
in case God doesn't show..."

[They're saying that they're getting off of a drug addiction, drugs possibly had an effect on one of the writers the related to these lyrics ('bend and break'). The next part is about feeling happier and more lighthearted, and focused on having 'good times', regardless of a miracle.

"And I want these words to make things right,
but it's the wrongs that make the words come to life.
Who does he think he is?
If that's the worst you've got, better put your fingers back to the keys..."

[The lyricist of this song is regretting something that he has done or said (probably about or relating to drugs, considering that was in one of the previous lines) but regardless, he can't take back his mistakes.

Next, they go on to talk about a guy, who has replaced one of the members of the band as a love interest, because they had drug issues. They have a sassy attitude about it though, because it doesn't matter to them. The girl is obviously trying to brag, "I have someone better than you now." Fall Out Boy's response, "If you think a petty comment like that hurts me, you'll have to try better than that."]

"One night and one more time,
Thanks for the memories,
even though they weren't so great,
'He tastes like you, only sweeter'"

"One night and one more time,
Thanks for the memories,
Thanks for the memories,
'See, he tastes like you, only sweeter'"

[Again, this seems to me like a conversation. The girl asks for a second chance, Fall Out Boy responds sarcastically, "thanks for the memories, but they weren't so great, good try though". And the girl tries to impress them again, or brag to them, "oh well! I have someone better."

The repetition, for me, symbolizes how a similar conversation occurred over and over again.]

"Been looking forward to the future,
but my eyesight is going bad.
And this crystal ball,
is always cloudy except for when you look into the past.
One night stand (one night stand off)."

[Fast forward. The first two lines symbolize that they are looking for someone to grow old with old with, but nothing is working out. Next, the song says that all of their past relationships have been better than their newer, more recent ones, and that nothing will get better in terms of finding a soulmate.]

[I would put the chorus here, but I've already typed it, and it has the same meaning, which shows a constant theme of love failure. A constant luring in, then an, "I don't care", then a final response as. "I've found someone better."]

"They say I only think in the form of crunching numbers.
In hotel rooms, collecting page six lovers.
Get me out of my mind,
and get you out of those clothes,
I'm a liner away from getting you into the mood."

[Again, it's the same idea of not finding a long and sustainable relationship. "Collecting lovers," meaning more than one in a short amount of time because none of the relationships seems to be long lasting or 'working out,' so to speak.]

[Again, the chorus.]

I personally love the paradox that this song is composed of. To further explain, I love the juxtaposition of the depressing, non-stable loving relationship idea crossed with a rock and upbeat tune. It puts a happier spin on the dark mood, and it makes this song and artist a one of a kind for pulling it off.
